Rio de Janeiro4 nights

Rio de Janeiro is a metropolis of about 6.7 million people set between forested granite peaks and the Atlantic. Most clients stay in the Zona Sul (Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon), which puts the beaches, the Sugarloaf cable car and the Corcovado train within a short drive.
The two icons — Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado and the Sugarloaf — are half-day visits each and can be combined in one day. Beyond them, the usual programme covers the Santa Teresa neighbourhood and the Selarón steps, the Tijuca forest (the largest urban forest in the world) and the Maracanã stadium.
Practical: daily direct flights from Amsterdam (KLM), which is why Rio is the standard entry point. Transfers from GIG to the Zona Sul take 45–75 minutes depending on traffic. Barra da Tijuca, 30 minutes west, is a quieter, family-oriented beach district often used for a last night close to the airport road.
